Smart Food Choices For School And Sport
Last Friday Ms Paula Dugan spoke to our 1st and 2nd Year students about the importance of good nutrition. She highlighted the surprisingly high sugar content in many popular drinks and breakfast cereals which came as an eye-opener to the group.
Students also picked up plenty of practical tips on how to include more protein and carbs in their diets to help them stay focused throughout the day. The section on sports nutrition was especially engaging for our athletes who found the advice particularly useful for training and performance.
