Cork City Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress Visit DCS

Carrying on a longstanding and venerable tradition the Lord Mayor of Cork City, Cllr Fergal Dennehy and the Lady Mayoress, Ms Karen Brennan, visited the school to impart some words of wisdom. The Lord Mayor spoke of the need to be kind to each other in these uncertain times and extolled the virtues of public service and community activism. The Lord Mayor patiently answered probing questions from the floor and there’s no doubt our attending students left with a new found interest in politics.
