German Exchange
From 30th of March until the 6th of April DCS students took part in an exchange to Erlangen in Bavaria. Our host school Das Albert Schweitzer Gymnasium collected us in Nürnberg airport. From Monday to Friday we cycled to school and experienced school and family life. On Tuesday we visited the University in Erlangen and toured the Technology Department and later the Adidas outlet. We went bowling and enjoyed typical German cuisine. On Friday we got the train to Nürnberg and had a guided tour of the castle (Kaiserburg). The imperial castle was built at a great height and had a beautiful view of the city. Afterwards we went to the Zukunftsmuseum, which has an interactive experience of science and technology of the future. On the final day we got the train and then hiked up into the German mountains.
It was a great experience being immersed in the language and culture of Germany. Thanks Ms O’Mahony for organising the exchange.
