DCS Talent Star in The Snowman

DCS is very proud of the pupils who will take to the stage this weekend. These students are members of the Cork Youth Orchestra and have been diligently rehearsing every Saturday night since September. It is a great honour for them to participate in this production.

This year they will be performing The Snowman by Raymond Briggs. The CYO will provide the live musical accompaniment to the film, which will be narrated by the acclaimed Evelyn Grant of RTÉ Lyric FM. The following students will represent DCS in the orchestra: Cillian Ó Dúill (Trumpet), Pavol Drozd (Violin), Colm Burke (Percussion), Cillian Casey (Trumpet), Cillian Murphy (Violin) and Josh Healy (Clarinet).

These students also proudly participate in the DCS Music Group and in various school events including our annual Grandparents’ Day, the DCS Carol Service, our Remembrance Ceremony, and our Annual Jazz Performance. It is great to see members of our DCS music group as they continue to forge greater links in the local community.
