Great Leaders Start Here: Presidential Elections 2025 in DCS!” 🗳️

Today Class 2A held their very own Presidential Election during CSPE class. After two convincing and creative campaign presentations from our presidential candidates: Nathan Sukys O’Callaghan (a.k.a. Catherine Connolly) and Max Mercic (a.k.a. Heather Humphreys) it was time for the class to decide who would take up residence in Áras an Uachtaráin for the next seven years!

Every student played a vital role in bringing the election to life, from designing ballot papers and maintaining the register of electors to building the polling station and serving as security officers. The votes were cast, counted, and verified and the results revealed a well-earned victory for Catherine Connolly.

The newly elected President delivered an inspiring and spirited victory speech just as the bell rang, wrapping up an exciting and educational afternoon of democracy in action.

Is this a glimpse of Ireland’s future leaders? Only time will tell.
