2C Visit To The Courthouse
On Wednesday class 2C had the opportunity to visit The Courthouse on Washington Street. Guided by a knowledgeable court clerk, the students gained firsthand insight into the workings of the Irish legal system. As part of their CSPE (Civic, Social and Political Education) curriculum they learned about the roles of key court figures such as the jury, barrister, solicitor, and court registrar.
The visit truly brought their studies to life, especially the tour of the holding cell, which left a lasting impression! Students also discovered the rich history of the building and heard about some of the more intriguing cases that have taken place there over the years.
It was an engaging and informative trip, with many of the boys expressing a newfound interest in studying law in the future.
