Poignant Remembrance Ceremony in DCS

Yesterday morning our school community gathered to pray for and remember those we have lost who were dear to us. We remembered past pupils and their families along with our own relatives and friends. We prayed for former members of both the staff and numerous boards of management while cognisant of their legacy.

The choir, along with solo instrumental pieces, provided a reverential and prayerful atmosphere for the readings from the faith traditions shared by our school community. A selection of reflective poems also contributed to the celebration of life while students brought gifts to the altar in recognition of life’s journey.

We recalled our loved ones; so glad that they had touched our lives and yet sad that they are no longer part of our daily lives. Thanks to everyone who made this ceremony so special.
