Confidence And Conviction On The Debating Stage

We are incredibly proud of 5th Year student Krish Gopal for his outstanding performance in the semi-final of the UCC Philosophical Society Schools Competition.

Krish delivered a powerful, persuasive and thoroughly convincing speech proposing a ban on social media for under 16s. His argument was exceptionally well-structured, thoughtfully researched and delivered with confidence, clarity and genuine conviction. He captivated the audience with an engaging and compelling presentation that truly showcased his talent and dedication.

While the result did not go his way on this occasion, his achievement in reaching the semi-final and the standard of his performance are a testament to his hard work, preparation and impressive debating ability.
