Dear Student / Parent / Guardian,
the HPV Catch Up Programme for students in 2nd,3rd, 4th and 5th Year of secondary school is currently available for registration. This programme is designed to offer students who previously missed HPV vaccination another chance to receive Gardasil 9 vaccine. Gardasil 9 vaccine aims to protect students against nine strains of the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV), which is linked to health issues including several types of cancer. The HPV Catch Up Programme will be delivered in HSE clinics and onsite in schools.
The vaccine is free to all eligible students.
Who is Eligible? Students in 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Year who have not previously received the HPV vaccine.
How many doses of HPV vaccine are needed? Most students will only require one dose of HPV. Students with a weak immune system will need 3 doses.

How will I get a student vaccinated? Students and Parents/ Guardians can arrange a vaccine dose by contacting HSE South Lee Schools & Immunisation Team on (021) 4923840 / (021) 4923214 and requesting a consent form.
