Garda Youth Award Winner - David O’Flynn

;Douglas Community School is delighted to mark the achievements of one of our students, David Flynn, who has won a prestigious Garda Youth Award. David was nominated for the award for the work he undertakes with Douglas GAA club. David has given his time, energy and enthusiasm to many different activities in the club. He is a fabulous role model for the players in the Douglas “All stars Programme”.

David demonstrates reliability, and a genuine commitment to giving back to his community, through community initiatives such as, “The Good Friday Clean-up”, the Christmas fundraiser and the “Spinathon Giving for Life” programme; all of which raise money for local charities.

Despite David’s medical complications he brings with him an incredible spirit, joy and enthusiasm. His positive attitude is infectious. Douglas Community School and Douglas GAA Club are lucky to have such a young person in our midst.

David, you are an exceptional role model and we are extremely proud of you.
