Powerful Voices, Big Ideas: Third Years Tackle Politics and Society

The Third year public speaking competition took place last Friday. Ably adjudicated by Mr. Ted O’Sullivan and assisted by 5th year students Krish Kopal and Ciarán Canty. The theme of the competition was Politics and Society and students aired their views on war, transgender issues, the gender pay gap and capital punishment to name just a few topics. Out of 11 speakers, there could only be one winner and that was Seán OSúilleabháin. In 2nd place was Liam Devlin OMahony and in 3rd was Jude McCarthy. Well done to all involved.
