Budding Baristas!

Our Transition Year students took part in a one-day intensive Barista course, learning the fundamentals of coffee brewing with hi-tech Sage coffee machines!

Guided by Carmel Hurley from Event Staff Solutions, they learned the characteristics of good quality coffee, how to use a Barista machine and tried their hand at Americanos, Lattes and Cappuccinos, with some even attempting coffee art!

Safe to say the teachers were overjoyed with the free coffees being handed out! A big thank you to TY Co-ordinator Mr John O’Leary for organising a fantastic, hands on day for the students! Always a popular workshop during the TY year!
