Meitheal Group

In January/February each year, members of the Scala Redemptorist team visit Transition Year classes in the school to promote Meitheal.   All those who complete an application form are interviewed by the Scala team.  A group of six to eight students is selected by the Scala team to form the Meitheal group.

The Meitheal group receives four days of training in April/May from the Scala team, developing individual and team skills. The Chaplain acts as support teacher to the group, helping and encouraging them.

The Meitheal group aims to be of service to the school community and is involved in charitable activities, the Buddy Programme for first years, the first year five-a-side soccer competition and many other events.
