Douglas Community School Play
The Douglas Community School play Dead Famous has been an enormous success. It has played to a full house for three nights. It received a standing ovation on opening night, which was a great thrill to our wonderful cast and backroom team.
Here are some photos of our matinee performance given to all local primary schools.

Douglas Community School Athletics Report
Douglas Community School athletes competed in the Munster Schools Mountain
Running Championships in Millstreet recently. Held on Mount Claragh, the
course provided some very steep climbs for the athletes. This did not deter
the Douglas athletes as they continued their rich vein of form.
The Junior
team came 1st with Shaun Healy leading the team home with a fantastic 2nd
place individual finish. Others to impress were Cullen Lynch, Ian Tobin,
David Broughal, Cillian Fleming and Eoin Cremin.
The Inter team were clear
team winners with Richard Quirke in 2nd, Mark Tobin in 3rd and David O’
Keeffe in 4th. There were other great performances from Conor O’ Brien, John
Kidney and Alex Kelly.
Craig Harrington was the sole Douglas representative
in the Senior boys race and he ran a superb race to come 4th, narrowly
missing out on the bronze medal.
The teams now look forward to the
All-Ireland Schools Cross-Country Championships in DCU on March 3rd.
