U14 Douglas v Carrigaline Football

Douglas Community School 4-10
Carrigaline Community School 2-5

On the 10-10-06 the U14 D.C.S Football team set out to gusty conditions in Carrigaline community school. This was their first outing as a team and they had only a few trainings under their belt. Martin Barry led his team onto the pitch as Joe White started putting the scores on the board. Although carrigaline gave a tough battle, the lads pulled through deserving winners with a score line of 4-10 to 2-5.

The boys gelled well together as a unit and outstanding performances were viewed from Eoin Murphy, Martin Barry and our keeper Chris O Flynn. Our top scorer was Joe White with an impressive six points. With large competition, the man of the match was clearly Kevin Curtain who was outstanding at corner back. Well done to all the lads and I am sure that they will do our school proud in this years championship.
